Glastonbury Festival this year says all its production areas are powered by electricity from fossil fuel-free sources or solar PV and battery hybrid systems. All generators are powered by renewable fuel from waste cooking oil, alongside an existing ban on the sale of single use plastic bottles as well as encouraging visitors to leave no traces when the festival ends. "There's still an element of disposable culture but I've been coming here for six years now and you definitely can see that's changing year on year," festival goer Adam Freer says, adding that "there's much more effort to try and make it more sustainable."
