Mohamed Konneh, Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone, hails the previous day's general elections as "one of the best" the country has seen, noting that voting took place in every polling center despite some delays. "In some polling stations where polls did not open on time, voting continued beyond 5pm, ensuring that all those in queue voted", he adds. Tallying is underway in regional centres.
