Tens of thousands of spectators watch actors perform the sacred Inca ceremony "Inti Raymi" in Cusco, Peru, held in honor of the god Inti, which is Quechua for sun. "This festival is done to ask our tayta Inti (father sun) to return that heat, to return the fire, to return the good energies, the good omen and prosperity to the population," says Maria Ferro, an actress of the Inti Raymi ceremony.
