Description
Generation after generation, Paraguayans of the small town Altos, near the capital city Asuncion, celebrate and recreate the attacks of the indigenous Guaycurues on Latin populations at the time of the conquest. The Kamba ra'anga (the image of the mulattoes) is a traditional festival in honour of St. Peter and St. Paul with fire, costumes made of dried banana leaves and masks made of cloth or carved and painted wood.
