Description
FILE images of Kichwa Indigenous people participating in the ceremony of the "Wayusa Upina," the ancestral ceremony of the wayusa tea in Serena, Napo province, Ecuador. It consists of getting up early in the morning, preparing a good amount of Wuayusa tea for all participants in the ritual, lighting a bonfire and sitting around it to drink the tea until the stomach is completely full, while the older members of the community tell stories and legends of the ancestors and their experiences in the jungle.
