Description
Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi says that he is planning sign a security agreement with South Africa, as militias continue to occupy swathes of turbulent eastern Congo. In a news conference with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, in the capital Kinshasa, Tshisekedi explains that the accord could take the form of a mutual-defence pact. "We are even considering perhaps having bilateral agreements in addition to what exists at the level of the SADC, on the subject of mutual support between states if one of them is under attack," Tshisekedi says.
