Description
Images of supporters of the Zimbabwe main opposition CCC singing and dancing in front of the court, as Zimbabwe court upheld a police ban of the CCC to hold a rally ahead of elections in August.
The rally, due to take place today, was banned on Friday on the grounds that there were no toilets and the roads were unsuitable at the place its was suppose to happen. The political climate is worsening ahead of what promises to be a tense vote on August 23 in a country ruled by one political party, Zanu-PF, since independence from Britain 43 years ago. "We are afraid because Zanu-PF is an instrument which is using all the structures to suppress us, but we want to have a free election" says Erica Mugosa, one of the CCC supporter gathering in front of the court.
