In Kisumu demonstrators clash with armed police after taking to the streets as part of a banned opposition organised protest against the high cost of living and tax hikes. Some demonstrators end up in local hospitals with serious injuries, including gunshot wounds. "The police are using excessive force on the citizens" says one man who's brother has been admitted to hospital, "many have been injured and even my brother is being treated for the gun wounds he has been shot in his legs" he clarifies.
