Indonesian fans criticize British indie-rock band The 1975 after it cancelled a concert in Jakarta following uproars surrounding its vocalist's controversial action to do same-sex kiss on the stage in Malaysia.
"I admired them very much, but once they don't respect my culture, about Indonesia, Indonesian rules, our government, that's gonna be a red flag, that's gonna be a big issue. I don't think I want to become their fans (anymore)," said Theodora Natalia, a fan.
Indonesia's LGBTQ laws are less strict than those in neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, where homosexuality is a crime.
