Description
A specialised type of drone capable of carrying passengers carries out its first delivery -- in this case bags of blood -- flying in European airspace. For auhtorisation reasons, there were no passengers on board this two-seater drone, presented by the company Helicus. The EH216 simulates the delivery of the blood bags from one point to another, over a distance of one kilometre, above a dedicated runway. The drone follows an automatic route, with no pilot on board. For Tome Nadjovski, Director of the Red Cross Prouction, this new type of aircraft will be very useful for medical purposes, in particular for transporting blood and medical personnel to disasters.
