In 2014, Nastya Podorozhnya survived a rape attempt after fleeing Ukraine to Poland. She established an organisation to help Ukrainian refugees, preventing them from experiencing the same fate. Behind the virtual profile "Martynka," a handful of employees - activists, psychologists, lawyers - work day and night to respond to hundreds of messages from Ukrainian women in need, whether to escape abusive partners, seek refuge in Poland, or even access abortion services.
