In the French city of Tours (region of Centre-Val de Loire), where the mercury stood at 40°C, construction workers are trying to adapt to the heatwave. The heat has set in across France for several days, with temperatures that are unusual for a back-to-school week and could reach as high as 37°C on Thursday, Météo-France said Wednesday.
