Description
In the streets of Libreville, life seems to go on as usual, a week after a military coup ousted President Ali Bongo, whose family has ruled the country for more than five decades. "Life is back on track, everything's going well," says market vendor Jim Poussiengui. "People aren't nervous anymore. People feel free." Most Gabonese seem to welcome the regime change, but the economic situation remains a concern in a country where a third of the population lives below the poverty line. "We want to work," says Waren Long, adding that he wants the government to "give us jobs and occupations." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
