The Panamanian government announces that it will intensify the deportation of migrants entering the country through the Darien jungle, on the border with Colombia, in order to curb the wave of migration to the United States.
"Within our capabilities and budget we will increase actions to gradually and progressively increase deportations and expulsions" of migrants who enter the country irregularly, says the national director of Migration, Samira Gozaine, at a press conference. SOUNDBITE
