Water quality in the Seine is "monitored extremely closely" ahead of the upcoming triathlon and para-triathlon test events from August 17 to 20, in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games. Two of the organizations responsible for monitoring the river's health, Eau de Paris (Paris Water) and Drieat (Regional and interdepartmental directorate for the environment, planning and transport), explain their methods for sampling and monitoring the Seine's water in the capital and downstream, at Achères.
