The quality of the water in the Seine is being "monitored extremely closely" for the forthcoming triathlon and paratriathlon test events from 17 to 20 August, with a view to the 2024 Olympic Games. Two of the organisations responsible for monitoring the health of the river, Eau de Paris and the Drieat (Regional and Interdepartmental Directorate for Environment, Planning and Transport), explain their methods for sampling and monitoring the water of the Seine in the capital and downstream.
