Description
Driven by a passion to protect the planet, British designer Phoebe English hasn't bought a centimetre of fabric or a single plastic button for her collection at London Fashion Week. Made out of recycled material such as bed linens, bridal shop off-cuts... she will present her collection on Friday September 15th, "aiming to work in less damaging ways", she says, as fashion is thought to be responsible for 10% of greenhouse gas emissions, according to World Bank estimates. "All of our fabrics are coming from the soil under the ground, above the ground, and that's where they end up afterwards," she adds. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
