Description
"Four years ago, I was hanging here, in this very plane tree. I spent 28 days raising awareness of the problems facing trees. I said that without trees, we wouldn't have long to live. I'm not out of touch, you know". Thomas Brail, founder of the Groupe national de surveillance des arbres (GNSA, National Tree Monitoring Group), went back to Paris to set up in a tree in front of the Ministry of Ecological Transition to raise the alarm about the A69 motorway project between Toulouse and Castres, which his movement is accusing of "destroying thousands of trees". "We're not going to stop because we no longer know what to do to make ourselves heard," he adds. (COMPLETES VIDI33V38GQ_EN) IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
