Inhabitants of Timbuktu describe the "truly unbearable" situation of being almost completely cut off from the world for several weeks due to a jihadist blockade. Petrol, food and basic necessities are in short supply as trucks remain blocked in the city. "The consequences are high prices," says Oumar Baraka, a president of a youth association.
