Description
Laura Avetisyan, a mother from the disputed Nogorno-Karabakh enclave in Azerbaijan, says this is the second time she has become a refugee. "The first time I was 11, now my daughter is the same age and I am becoming a refugee again at the age of 46," says Laura Avetisyan, "Everyone knows that they have lost their past, because we didn't bring anything with us, everything was left behind." Tens of thousands of residents have fled the region, fearing for their lives and the fate of their homeland after an attack by Azerbaijani soldiers. Many have fled to the town of Goris, heading for the mountain route that leads to Armenia. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
