As Indonesia bans goods transactions on social media platforms in a new regulation, traders at the Tanah Abang market in Jakarta, Southeast Asia's largest textile shopping center, say they saw major drops of income when TikTok's Shop platform was introduced. "I had to close some of my shops, let alone reducing employees. It's all because of TikTok Shop," explains a shop owner.
