"It's a parasitic insect, so it can get into anyone's home under any circumstances. [...] And then all you have to do is bring it back to school in a bag and you're back in business," says Sophie Bietrix, a science and technology teacher at the Versailles secondary school in Marseille and a representative of the Teachers union SNES-FSU. On Tuesday 3 October, the school announced that it would be closed for four days in order to have the building disinfected by a specialist company. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
