Description
A joint Meeting between the Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AUPSC) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) begins at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa. The meeting aims to strengthen collaboration between both Councils to promote global peace, security, and stability and also will reflect on thematic issues, including Financing for AU-led Peace Support Operations. Both Councils will also examine country-specific and regional situations such as Sudan, the Sahel Region, Somalia and ATMIS, and the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo during the meeting.
