"No one is anti-Semitic in France Unbowed. Nobody in my group is anti-Semitic," said Mathilde Panot at a press conference in the Assembly, responding to criticism from all sides of the Unbowed MPs' reaction to the Hamas attack on Israel. When questioned by a journalist, the head of the group of hard-left France Unbowed (LFI) MPs refused to call Hamas a "terrorist" organisation outright: "It is the armed wing that is now responsible for war crimes," she said.
