Damiana Felix da Silva lives next to the Itajai-Acu River in southern Brazil and saw her house flood within a couple of hours due to heavy rains that have lashed the region. "I was terrified because I saw my house underwater so quickly," says Damiana, who has to wait for the water to go down before returning home.
