People perform a funeral prayer in Diyarbakir for people who have died in Gaza, amid the ongoing conflict with Israeli forces. Hundreds of people gathered for the event at the call of the Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı (Prophet Lovers Foundation) religious foundation and the Huda-Par sunni islamist radical group. A student attending the gathering, Yusuf Islam Ozkan, says "as a Muslim state, we must stand by them.
