Description
French President Emmanuel Macron calls on the French people to remain 'united' and 'stand together' in the face of the 'barbarity of Islamist terrorism', after a knife attack in Arras, northeastern France in which a teacher was killed and two other adults seriously injured. 'I'm here to show the support of the nation, to say that we stand together and that we stand tall,' said Macron in the courtyard of the secondary school where the attack took place, and at a time when France, which has large Jewish and Muslim populations, is on high alert for security risks following the Hamas attack on Israel last weekend.
