In the Donetsk region, close to the eastern frontline where a conflict has been raging between Russia and Ukraine since February 2022, doctors in a medical stabilisation point are working around the clock to treat the numerous wounded Ukrainian soldiers. "We wait here 24/7 on an ad hoc basis. A wounded person can be brought in at any moment," says doctor Viktor Rodin. Those with lighter conditions often choose to return to the frontline, like Sergiy, who came in after being struck by a Russian grenade launcher. "I will return to my unit. Where else?
