During its procedures against drug lords, Ecuadorean police is finding more and more places with exotic animals, a recent trend that put in risk the fauna of a megadiverse country. Drug lords set up clandestine zoos "in the pure style of Colombian drug traffickers from the 70's or 80's" to show, maybe, their "power," says Mayor Darwin Rosales from Protection of Environment unit of police.
