Counting begins in Switzerland on the day of the federal elections to renew the 200 members of the National Council lower house and the 46 senators of the Council of States upper house. According to the polls, the Swiss populist right, which is anti-immigration and anti-EU, is likely to emerge stronger against the backdrop of the European migration crisis and the resurgence of the risk of terrorist attacks in Europe.
