Description
'Their release has to be a priority,' says Yonathan Arfi, President of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF). The organisation has placed 30 empty pushchairs in front of Paris' Eiffel Tower to raise awareness and demand the release of children taken hostage by Hamas during the surprise attack on Israel on October 7. The World Health Organisation has said it is 'gravely concerned' for the health of the hostages, which, it says, include health workers and up to 30 children.
