Inmates are seen inside on the roof top and inside the watchtower of the Turi prison in Cuenca, Ecuador.
The body that administers Ecuador's prisons (SNAI) denounced on Wednesday that inmates of criminal gangs are threatening to hold prison guards, as has already happened in the country's violent prisons, by demanding a mass transfer. IMAGES
