Description
The use of gig platforms for nurses is expected to rise, as America's health care sector loses workers. Some 100,000 registered nurses left the workplace due to Covid-19 stresses. In New Jersey, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center has started working with a platform named CareRev, and about 150 professionals have since been approved to work at the center. "The CareRev application and program gives us the opportunity to put out our shifts or our vacancies and then professionals that are signed up with CareRev can pick and choose what shifts they want to work," explains Deborah Visconi, CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
