Hundreds of migrants, traveling in a caravan through the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, block a customs office to demand that the Mexican government grant them transit permits to continue their journey to the US border. "We are not asking for anything that is not given to tourists when they arrive, simply a document to be safer. Migrants' lives also matter," says activist Irineo Mujica, who leads the caravan, as he did for a previous one when the government decided in late April this year to allow migrants a 45-day travel permit.
