As the need for imams in France increases, and with the arrival of seconded imams from abroad due to end next year, an institute in Strasbourg, eastern France, is providing courses to train new imams in a moderate form of Islam which is also 'in line with and adapted to our context here in France and the times we live in,' says Kalilou Sylla, Imam of the Strasbourg Mosque and teacher at the Islamica Institute.
