Frans Timmermans and Pieter Omtzigt, two of the favourite candidates, debate ahead of the Dutch parliamentary elections. Pieter Omtzigt's New Social Contract (NSC) was only formed in August, but the new party has rapidly climbed in the polls and appears on the doorstep of power. The 62-year-old former vice-president of the European Commission hopes that his experience and credentials in climate issues will propel him to victory.
