Archive images from January 2021 show the prosecutors, lawyers, media, judges, the army and the police during the first day of the historic trial targeting Calabria's notorious 'Ndrangheta, the country's wealthiest and most powerful mafia. Nearly three years later, on November 20 2023, an Italian court convicted and sentenced around 200 mobsters and their white-collar helpers. Four of them were sentenced to 30 years behind bars, while 131 people were acquitted by the court in the southern region of Calabria. FILE IMAGES
