Living in a 20-square-metre "container house" on an old sportsground north of Amsterdam, 26-year-old Youri Hermes considers himself lucky: at least he has a roof over his head. "My circle ... they talk about the real estate market ... which is also a determining factor for the political parties they choose," he says. The issue is one of the crunch battlegrounds in the November 22 election.
