Description
‘My heart aches for my granddaughter’ says Lutfun Nesa, a 52-year-old Rohingya refugee in the Nayapara camp in Tekhnaf, Cox’s Bazar. Her granddaughter has been taken away by the girl’s maternal grandmother on a migration journey to Indonesian shores. Bangladesh is home to some one million Rohingya refugees, most of whom fled a violent 2017 crackdown by the Myanmar military that is now subject to a United Nations genocide probe.
