Description
An earth-boring machine drills several meters vertically into the mountain to reach 41 men trapped inside the Silkyara-Barkot road tunnel in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, after an earlier horizontal rescue mission through the collapsed tunnel debris hit a snag.
The machine will dig around 90 meters downwards into the tunnel to try to rescue the men trapped inside the under-construction tunnel since November 12. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
