The two sides brushed off international calls to renew the truce on Saturday as air strikes pounded militant targets and Palestinian groups launched volleys of rockets. The truce, which ended on Friday, was the first pause in fighting since Hamas' deadly October 7 attacks, which killed 1,200 people and saw 240 more taken hostage.
