Wounded Palesinians arrive at the Mamadani hospital in Gaza City as fighting rages on Sunday for the third day since the end of a week-long truce between Israel and Hamas. "In reality, the injuries this time are much more difficult than before the ceasefire" says Dr Fadel Naa'im, who explains that "most of the difficulties consist of complex open fractures requiring medical intervention and emergency operations". Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry on Sunday said that 15,523 people had been killed in the territory since the start of the war with Israel on October 7, which was set off by a deadly attack by the group which killed 1,200 people.
