Nearly three months after a deadly earthquake hit mountainous southern Morocco and with temperatures dipping as winter approaches, the residents of a tent village close to Marrakesh are making the most of the situation, turning makeshift shelters into communal living spaces. "Our camp is a model here in the region because we have a collective oven" says Taoufiq Jaidi, Imzilne's camp coordinator. Private and public donors ovens, portable toilets and heated showers, which are proving vital in a village that is 1,000 metres above sea level and where temperatures at this time of year waver around zero degrees Celsius.
