Finland has received 50 new Frontex officers to help boost the country’s border controls as the Nordic country has seen a surge in migrants at its eastern border with Russia. The deployment has brought the total number of Frontex officers in Finland to 55. The officers have been requested to remain until the end of January 2024 but could shorten or extend their stay.
