The Hollywood Sign is partially lit with bulbs similar to the ones used when it was installed to promote a real estate project. "The sign was first lit with about 3700 light bulbs around the perimeter of each letter when it originally said Hollywoodland," says Jeff Zarrinnam, chairman of The Hollywood Sign Trust.
