Description
Ronald Plasterk, the "scout" Geert Wilders appointed to shuttle between party leaders to scope out who is prepared to work with whom, delivers his long-awaited report to parliament Monday, as the far-right firebrand struggles to convince other party leaders to join a government. Wilders has less than two months to win over potential coalition partners uneasy about his hardline anti-Islam and anti-European views, according to the much-anticipated report published Monday. Asked by reporters if he thought the parties could overcome their differences, Plasterk says "I think they can and I even think they should," and dismisses the idea of new elections. "Going back to the voter and telling them you voted wrongly and you must vote again, everyone believes that that is not is acceptable." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
