Description
Following the October 7 Hamas attacks, Palestinians living in the West Bank and working in Israel were sent home from their jobs. With no employment for two months and no end in sight, they struggle to make ends meet.
In Kharas, a village in the outskirts of Hebron, the local supermarket stopped providing groceries on credit after customer debts reached 40 percent of sales. "We made a limit for the credit we offer because I can’t continue to offer loans loans loans. Before it was simple the worker was bringing the money at the end of the month but today there’s no hope he will," says Ahmad Radwan, a shop owner. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
