A Sengalese judge orders jailed opposition leader Ousmane Sonko's reinstatement on the electoral roll, paving the way for him to run in the presidential election in 2024."It is a wind of democracy that blew today and freedom" says one of Sonko's lawyers, Bamba Cisse. The state however is vowing to appeal. Sonko was convicted in June of morally corrupting a young person and sentenced to two years in prison.
