'We cannot have a few individuals taking an entire football culture hostage and tarnishing its image, (...) I don't want people to say that football is a violent sport or a sport for idiots,' says France's Minister for Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Amelie Oudea-Castera, after a meeting with the National Supporters' Body (INS) to try and curb the violence that has plagued French football, particularly since the start of the season.
