Images show firefighters battling large smoke plumes after a missile struck an apartment block in the Russian-held city of Donetsk near the Ukrainian frontline. Inside one severely damaged apartment, the firefighters can be seen wading through flooded floors and tearing down burnt-out window frames, with flowers and dumplings still on the table from before the strike. Alexey Kulemzin, the city's Moscow-backed mayor, alleged on his Telegram channel that the strike was carried out from the Ukrainian side and injured at least 13 people and severely damaged the building's facade.
